On March 1, 1996 I first entered the office of Dan-Gulf Shipping and today is my last day.  As many in the shipping world know I was diagnosed with ALS in June 2019.  As a result, tomorrow I’ll officially start my life as a disabled person.   No matter how many times I got angry I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my career in shipping, which I believe is the most interesting business there is. From 1996-2006 we operated a worldwide service and I had the opportunity to communicate with agents, stevedores, port captains, and others globally – that was a challenge! Since 2006 I’ve enjoyed the many contacts we’ve made in Colombia and throughout the Caribbean basin.
