Dan-Gulf Shipping, Inc. the New Orleans based company and frontrunner in the transport of project, heavy-lift, steel and breakbulk cargoes announces that Alberto Mejia has joined the company as Vice President of the Liner Department. He will be responsible for overseeing the management and development of the Caytrans BBC service operating between the U.S Gulf and north coast South America, Caribbean and Central America.
After a long tenure with Intermarine, Mejia brings to Dan-Gulf over 30 years of experience in the shipping industry. He began his career at Lykes Brothers, where he held numerous management positions over the years in various areas of the company. Of late, he worked at Intermarine where he started as Manager of Marketing and Public Relations and lately, held the position of Commercial Manager for the company’s NCSA service.

Alberto is fluent in Spanish and studied at Loyola University in New Orleans with a major in Business Administration and Accounting.
